The General Motors EV1 was the first mass produced electric car. The EV1 was made from 1996-1999.
Depending on your taste in style, the EV1 looked liked a cool little wedge on wheels.
In 1999, GM discontinued the EV1, and began recalling all leased vehicles.
Most of the EV1's were crushed as documented in the film Who Killed the Electric Car.
